Yes, this is it, the original, the genuine thing, the Wild Cat of Australia.

This creature looks a bit like America's Bob Cat or Lynx.

The creature is a wild crazy 'thing' when cornered and best shot or trapped, but never, ever handled while alive, because it would rip you to little pieces !

And kills everything, all small to medium sized birds, mammals and anything else it can get its claws into, its just a nasty wild rotten bar........d !

Now the best thing about Australian Wild Cats, is it makes fantastic flies, flies for both saltwater and freshwater use, from the whiskers, great tails on caddis and mayflies, to the body, zonkers suitable for both fresh and saltwater flies. Or just a upper wing from any body hair/fur.

What a great way to recycle this nasty bar....d ?

The facial hair, perfect for most rope type dubbing, with a almost hard spiky feel, the ears a short hard like hair even better for dubbing, rope style. If you thought that a Hare's mask made great dubbing, wait till you try Australian Wild Cat !

The tail, endless uses.

The body with its fine hair, why not buy a body and cut your own Zonker strips or dye it to suit your own special patterns.

Body hair length, on average, because the under side of the body, the belly is always longer is about 28mm, while over the back is 25mm.

All skins or parts there of are soft tanned and suitable for both local tiers and Export.

The hair on the face is like the hair on the paws/feet of most creatures where it is a different type, its just wonderful for spiky type dubbing.

The body, a type of grizzly type of fur, great for streamer construction of wings for most flies including Salmon flies.

Because the hair, on the body is soft without a hard memory it moves with a almost swimming action, all of its own.
