Some Scud facts.
Scuds vary in size from 5 to 25mm, and generally occur in colors of tan, yellow, gray, olive. They mainly turn a pale to dark orange when they die.

When fishing this fly cast in and around the locations where they are found with either a dead drift, or with a slow, twitching retrieve or better still under a dry fly, just like a dropper nymph in shallow water.

Scuds are crustaceans that live in and on aquatic vegetation. They are important food source and can be found in nearly every pool and lake that freshwater fish live, and in most moving waters slow enough to allow vegetation to take root. Scuds often reach dense populations in small creeks and streams with a stabilized flow, with beds of rooted plant matter/weeds.

Talon Clear Stretchable Scud Back is 10mm wide and has a textured finish to complete the realist 3D look. The material can be cut or trimmed to size without tearing.
