How
would you like a fine hair for tying that floated
beautifully, just like Caribou, but finer, softer
and floated higher?
Far
finer and softer than Elk even Elk calf.
The
hair is called Talon Finnish Reindeer Body.
The
Finnish Reindeer is a different animal to that of
the North American Caribou, in case you thought that
both were the same.
Now
because the hair is softer it moves far better in
the water when used in the construction of Clousers
and other saltwater flies.
As
a dry fly material it is superb.
Used
in place of Elk hair in a EH Caddis, it floats far
longer and because the hair is softer the wing balances
better, closer to the real thing, then you will wonder
why your fly material retailer hadn't shown you Talon
Reindeer Body before.
Average
size of each piece of body section 35 x 45mm
Average hair length 60 to 70mm
Fly
patterns, anything that uses a elk hair or bucktail,
in saltwater patterns.
Because
the hair floats beautifully it can make a great strike
indicator pattern.
And
used as a spun deer hair head fly, there cannot be
anything better, then add to this the colour range,
the result, a wonderful fly tiers material.
