This is the Talon Rapier 6w 4 pc Fly rod and is available with or without the mini fighting butt.

Wouldn't it be nice if Fly Tackle manufactures designed and built a Fly Rod that would perfectly match a given fly line that most people could use and then told everybody what line this was or even supplied the Fly Line as part of the Rod package or went one step further and offered either a Floating, Intermediate or Sinking line, you suit your application ?

This is the concept Talon RA has built for you, the Fly caster/Angler, built a Fly Rod that nicely matches a fly line as apart of the Rod package, this concept has now been taken one step further, you the customer can select a Floating, Intermediate of Fast Sinking line to suit your fishing application. And each of these fly lines are matched to the casting performance of the rod.

And due to a number of requests Talon RA has now introduced another 6w Rapier rod which includes a mini fighting butt and larger stripper guides, all with the very same design concepts in mind to help you, the fly caster. This model Rapier 6w fly rod has been labeled the "Salt". Why a mini fighting butt on a 6w rod, its not for fighting fish, it is used to help keep the reel of the ground, when the rod is not being used and as a result saves your reel being scratched.

At Aussiefly we understand some people may wish to include the matching fly line therefore to over come this situation we have made these two these new Rods available also without the matching line, if you wish.

Rod description. We will NOT try and trick you by saying this rod will increase your distance cast or some other dream selling tales of wonder, like some Companies, yes you the fly caster and fisher have read it all before about these magical wonder rods that are released year after year , but you cast no further and catch fish at the same rate !

We will tell you, this fly rod has been designed to cast in the range of up to 80feet, however still be able to cast very short distances, which is ideal for the average 6w Trout or Bass (and most) and smaller saltwater fishing casters/anglers. Of course the better caster can cast further, with their increased level of skill, BUT everybody isn't an expert caster, therefore we consider a 6w fly rod that casts into the 80 foot range is enough for the average caster like yourself.

The rod, the blank has been designed by Uncle Barry to match a Talon Rapier fly line with the aid, help from a few friends and manufactured from the latest lightweight graphite epoxy cloth which enables a very light weight crisp rod with a extremely sensitive feel from its graphite cloth that feels like an IM10 grade rod. The Rod's Taper, is super slim, advanced, still with a lightweight 'feeling' tip that could deliver you accuracy and softest of presentation in your hands.

Reel seat, lets just say, something you would be proud to own !

A covered Rod tube is standard with both of these rods.
Warranty, 12 months to the Original purchaser on Manufactures defects. Break any section and the total cost to you is only AU$60.00 delivered to your 'door'. For within Australia the time from notifying Aussiefly to your new section is at your 'door' is normally only 3 to 4 days ! Why, because we break rods also and know what it was like to be promised everything and still be waiting weeks and weeks as the Season closed down. ps, please don't ask for all 4 sections at $60 to beat buying the complete rod, the $60 rate is to help you as cheaply as possible to over come a small mistake.

Why a mini fighting butt on a small fly rod, the reason is some people have discovered, that the small fighting butt will save your fly reel from the sand and dirt when the rod is placed down, another great idea from your friends at Talon RA.
