Wrap the hook with thread to form a base.

Tie in the 3 Muskrat Guard hairs and lock in place with a drop of head cement

Tie in the end of one CDC feather,to form a wing.

Dub the thread with the Muskrat fur, having removed the guard hairs first.

Wind the thread/dubbing up the hook ,till the CDC is reached, then double the dubbing ,forming a head area.

Continue the thread / dubbing, one more turn to complete the head.

This fly can be allowed to sink or hold in the waters surface by applying a dressing to the leader or using Talon Resin Impregnated Monofilament, the floating Mono, as the leader.
